Making a Booking
You can book your appointment online, over the phone, or in person at the salon. All bookings are reviewed before being confirmed to make sure we’ve allowed the right amount of time and fully understand what you’re after. One of our team members may give you a quick call to clarify or confirm your booking if needed.
We kindly ask for as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. No-shows and last-minute cancellations don’t just affect us — they take away opportunities from other clients and impact our business and the team.

A 50% deposit is required to secure all bookings.
If you’d prefer not to pay a booking fee, you’re more than welcome to try your luck on the day or add yourself to our waitlist — just keep in mind that we won’t be able to reserve a specific stylist or time slot in advance.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding, and we’ll always do our best to keep things fair for everyone.
Cancellation Policy
We require a 50% deposit to secure your booking — your appointment is important to us, and that time is reserved just for you.
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we ask for at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations or changes made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in the deposit being forfeited.
Same-day cancellations or reschedules will be charged 100% of the appointment cost.
Please note: voicemails left on Sundays or public holidays are not considered sufficient notice, as our team may not receive them in time to fill your spot. If you need to get in touch during these times, please email us at info@bobmelbourne.com.au.
Running Late?
We ask that you arrive on time for your appointment — but we totally understand that life happens and delays can’t always be helped. Things can run a little behind in the salon too, so we appreciate your patience if we’re running a few minutes late.
To keep things running smoothly for everyone, we’ll hold your appointment for up to 20 minutes. After that, we may need to reschedule.
Thanks for your understanding — we always want your visit to feel relaxed, never rushed.
Parking
Parking in South Yarra can be tricky, so we recommend allowing a little extra time to find a spot and arrive on time for your appointment.
Here are a few nearby options:
Cunningham Street – 1-hour parking right out front of the salon
Oxford Street – 2-hour parking just around the corner
Jam Factory Car Park – Paid parking off Chapel Street ($2 per hour), about a 7-minute walk to the salon.
Time Expectations
Good hair takes time — and some appointments (especially colour work) can take 3–4 hours.
If you have another commitment after your visit, just let us know when you book. We’ll always do our best to work with your schedule — without compromising on the quality of what we do.
Fringe Trims
Need a little fringe refresh between appointments? We’re happy to offer a complimentary fringe trim within eight weeks of your last visit to Bob.
Please note: fringe trims can’t be booked online — just give us a call and we’ll find a time for you.
